Paintball Križevci, Croatia
I’m not a fan of real weapons but I’m a huge fan of woodsball.
Also, as a long time member of Croatian Black Sheep paintball team, I jump to every opportunity to play in new locations. This time we were in a newly built rental paintball field, located in Križevci, Croatia.
As it usually goes lately, I was the only real woods-ball player in the field, surrounded by speedball players. What does that means exactly? The biggest difference is that I play with mag-feed marker and I don’t spend more than 3 first strike paint balls on the opponent, while the usual speedball player can easily spend more than 200 paint balls per opponent, and that doesn’t mean that they play badly or something, just that they have a different style of game play.
Also, while my marker is mechanical, speedball players use electronic markers that have the ability to shoot up to 15 balls per second.
This is Super Zero if you were wondering. Also promoting the newly produced Push paintball mask.
The usual tactical briefing moments before the start of the game.
An action shot.
Holes on the covers come in handy while surveying the horizon. Until you get hit trough one of them, than they are not handy at all.
This is the one of those superheros that don’t care for blown identity.
Getting ready for the game.
The thing is that those guys had a drinking night prior to this event, so it’s a miracle that they got sober and organized on time. Did I mention that the first game was played three hours later than officially planed?
Paintball has gone a long way in the terms of technology, and here you can see one sophisticated marker, this one actually talks to you.
Resting and refilling area.
While sorting the primary paintball gear I don’t think that the comb is on everybody’s top list.
Loading the first strike paint-balls into magazine.
This is not a proper way to play and has probably no tactical advantage whatsoever, so we took a few fake action shots, too.
There’s always time for monkeying around.
This is how the start of the game usually looks like. Running to a planned ahead cover, shooting at the opponents and dodging the enemy fire.
Sometimes I tend to be theatrical, like doing this rocket jump just to scare the opponents
Here you can clearly see that all the speedball players have speedball jerseys, and I’m in full camo arrangement.
A cover photo.
A photo of the field. It is a smaller one, perfect for five on five games.
Covers and obstacles are nicely built and arranged.
The only photo of our official photographer – Goga. Hope you enjoyed the gallery. See you on the paintball field!
