Custom leather phone case
I’ve been sewing a lot lately. Most of the stuff is car related, but since I started to like sewing more and more, I started to experiment with other stuff. Like the phone and tablet cases
In this Build Log section you can find some projects I already made, like the leather comb case, tiny wallets and such, but this particular project was made for a friend of ours. In fact, first one was made a few months ago, out of black automotive leather, but unfortunately, she has lost it After she cried me a river, I decided to make her another one. She even found a piece of a really nice brown leather, and the next thing I know, I was in the workshop, tailoring.
First, I measured her phone and the piece of leather.
Double checking the measurements before the next step.
I cut the recess, that will eventually create the right form.
Sewing the case.
Ta-daa! It’s done. A custom leather phone case. And it looks like a real product. But according to a friend, now it needs some skull leather embossing upgrade.
This is how it looks with the phone inserted (Lenovo Vibe P1).
A detail of a stitch and a recess.
Goga couldn’t help herself but put her cacti on the picture again, it’s obviously an ideal part of any set-up 😀
And yes, if you like it, you can order one for yourself, too. It doesn’t have to be the same design, I’m open to new, custom ideas. The price will range from $20 upwards, depending on your wishes.
